We are thrilled to have secured a partnership with local artisan fishermen in the Galapagos Islands.

The Galapagos Marine Reserve was established in 1998 to protect the marine ecosystem of its pristine waters and implement sustainable fishing.

Only local, artisanal, licensed fishermen can carry out commercial fishing within the reserve, each harvest strictly monitored by the local authorities to insure the correct fishing methods, to ensure that only specific species are harvested of the right size and in the allowed quantities.

Thanks to those efforts, fish thrives in the archipelago and is of the highest quality.

We are very proud to make available fish of such a fine quality, delivered fresh to us twice a week.

Small boats fully packed with ice, artisanal, licensed fishermen unloading the precious cargo.

Beautiful yellow fin tuna just arrived and is being unloaded to be tagged and shipped to the Bronx.

Carefully packaging grouper, and scorpion fish headed our way.

Every single fish is tagged for traceability.

Our contact showing us how each box destined for shipping is sealed, monitored and certified by the park rangers of the Galapagos Marine Reserve.
